What are the crowds like during that time? The other time I was thinking of going was the first two weeks of Oct. What are the crowds like during that time?

Does the HM go down for a HMH overlay like at DL? If so, is it at the same time as at DL?

October used to be a good time to visit WDW, but it seems to have gotten very busy over the last half dozen years. I’ve heard that many tour groups are visiting WDW during this period, which as far as I’m concerned makes it a good time to avoid being there.

My favorite times to go to WDW are November except for right around Thanksgiving, early December and January. January can be chilly but has the advantage of being the least crowded time of the year.

Personally, I would say the "best" time is the two weeks after Thanksgiving. Low crowds, and the holiday decorations are up.

The peak season rates at WDW resorts reflect this.

Late April and May are better crowd-wise and rate-wise, but the weather will be hot and humid during the days.
