One difference is our kids are older - teenagers now. I don't know if we will go if we can't get a view room, but I don't know what the other rooms are like.

For my family, it was not a big deal to have an inside room at all, since we were busy the entire time. On the longer cruise, we got a room with a window, but on a lower level, so it wasn't a particularly spectacular window or anything. It was nice to have some natural light in the room, but I'm not sure if it was worth the price difference. On the single night cruises, we had inside rooms, and it really didn't make a difference at all. In general, we're a pretty active family on vacation. We don't go to a destination to just sit on the beach. We'll go out on a boat, go to a museum, go see a performance, but don't stay in the hotel room. If you also tend to do a lot of stuff on vacation, then it probably won't matter. But if you like to lounge around, then you might want a little more space. We're one of those families that leaves for the theme parks early in the morning, and stays until closing, so we don't really need anything fancy. From what I've seen, Disney has outstanding events going on onboard the ships, so it won't be a problem if you want to get out and do something. But if you tend to spend a lot of time just hanging out and relaxing, it might better suit you to stay in a room with a balcony. And I would totally recommend takign teens on a cruise, since I was around that age (maybe a little younger, but my brother was a little other than me, so it evens out) when I first went on a cruise. It gives the kids the freedom to go explore on their own (there are lots of teen-only events and locations on the ships), but paren't don't have to be too concerned, since they are stuck on the ship and can't get into too much trouble. It's a great way to have a family vacation, and still get a little seperation from each other and just take a break from everyday life.
