And TDLFAN, some fans don't like season 1, but I have to respectfully disagree; some fans love it, and I'm one of those. I LOVE season 1, it is so dear to my heart. Cindy Webster *rocks!* She was my favorite girl of the season 1 cast (and the only tomboy at Eastland before Jo was a speck in the writers' minds yet), and I was so disappointed that she was one of the ones axed...so afterwards I'd have to relish her cameos with the other axed girls in the next few seasons, lol. Two of my favorite episodes are the ones where Cindy and Sue Ann got into a fight over track, and the flood episode. I liked the whole dorm setting, too. After season 1 Blair is my favorite all the way, although she was mean to Cindy in the first episode and tried to make her think she was a lesbian when she wasn't (Blair even smoked a cigarette in a "Diff'rent Strokes" episode, lol).

I love seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4 the best because I grew up with those in morning re-runs as a kid at my grandparents' house in the mid-80s, and in afternoons at 1:00 home from school in the summer with my sister. Mrs. Garrett is at her most *hilarious* in season 1! I love how she's tryin' to "find her niche" in the school and she's so uninhibited---wait'll you see her tipsy in episode 4, lol!

<Usually, when Seasons 1 and 2 are on the

Season 1 debuted in September 1979, then was yanked, then came back a bit re-tooled in early 1980. There were 13 episodes, 4 "original" ones, then the 9 others.

Some of us fans were afraid they might not put season 1 on DVD, but I think what they're doing is *brilliant*---putting seasons 1 *and* 2 in the same package, so those of us who love the entire "Facts" history have the more obscure/rarer season 1, and, for more casual fans or people "out of the know", we're segued right into season 2 and the "classic cafeteria years" as I like to call 'em.

I think they thought if they put season 1 out it wouldn't sell well and might spell doom for future "Facts" DVDs, but if they started with season 2, enough fans would be P.O.ed that they'd get earfuls of anger. So this makes *everybody* happy! :-D

And yes, all the Molly Ringwald fans too, lol.

Interestingly enough, she was my favorite mouseketeer, as well. Anyone remember her on the "New" Mickey Mouse Club (mid-70's)? I remember seeing her live at Disneyland during that time and being totally star-struck. LOL

FBR would have been a little tyke (if he was born yet), but I'm sure he'll chime in! lol ;-)

And MoP, how cool---Tootie used to be my favorite (after Season 1), but now it's Blair all the way! lol I just love her vanity and obsession with wealth---yet under all that shallowness is a heart of indeed pure "gold", lol.

Oh yeah, her and Julie Piekarski. Julie was from my neck of the woods, and her being on the program was a Big Deal.

I used to tell my parents, "If there's ever a new MMC, I want to try out for it!"

Then the NMMC *did* happen and it was too late! I was crushed, really! Not like I ever had a chance in you-know-what of becoming a mouseketeer, but it was the idea that I couldn't even TRY OUT that KILLED me. LOL

TDG, I liked Blair for the very same reasons! (Kinda like Delta Burke's character on Designing Women.)

Yeah...Blair, Suzanne, and Blanche all have similarities, but differences too. Suzanne is childish and inappropriate, where Blair and Blanche is not. Blanche is SEXSEX*SEX* where the other two are not. And Blair rests on her laurels of thinking how utterly brilliant she is, where the other two don't.

And LOL@"Mousketeer Susan"---man, I wish that woulda worked out, that woulda been cool to see our very own MoP on MMC DVDs!

How come your Wal-marts didn't have it, I wonder? Do you have any place else you can look? Target, maybe? Do you need me to send it to you if I find it first?

And apparently JohnS1 is a seasoned and experienced writer, where TDG is not. lol

Yeah MoP, Wal-Mart will have it, it's just that don't always get every title on the day of its release---of course at 3:30 a.m. they had about all the new 5/9 titles *but* FoL! (This happened before with "The Golden Girls" Season 1)

Best Buy here has it for $29.99, and I'm on the phone with the nearest Target as we speak! lol

    *****time passes*****

    Same price!

I'm goin' to Best Buy cause it's closer so's I won't have to take a tardy at work, lol! See ya at Eastland!!

"I just had another one of my BRILLLIANT ideas!"
