Goodbye U.S., Hello Europe

Just wanted to say a quick goodbye to all my friends stateside. In about 6-18 hours we will be boarding a flight to Germany for the next 3 to 4 years. We have spent the last 4 days at DL having a wonderful time, even had a chance to meet Doug, and JB yesterday which was nice. But now its time to head to Europe and eventually meet all the wonderful European LPers.

I will see you all online in a week or two after we settle in and get everything connected.

I would certainly like to see how Dave's DLP tour concludes. It ended on a real cliffhanger!

As far as stuff to do in the UK, I don't think there is anything of the calibre of DLP that would warrant a special trip!!!

In terms of theme parks, but when it comes scenery, history, art and culture....the Uk can keep you very busy. Same goes for Ireland

If we were to have a European Meet it would have to be somewhere that was enough of a draw to make it worth people travelling and even then it wouldn't be very Disney-centric (is that a real word)? With London for example, once you've seen Mary Poppins and TLK, there's not much else Disney-wise. Add that to the fact that I wouldn't pay to stay in London and we're all staying in different places and it starts to get messy. It would mean that the meet would be on a smaller scale than the one held previously at DLP.

Of course, if any LPers came to London I'd be first to welcome them, I just don't think an LP London meet would be worth travelling miles for.

Am I making sense?!!!
