It is true that there are many viewing spots throughout the resort where you see basically the same things you'd see from your room. However we enjoy being able to sit on our own balcony relatively undisturbed and just enjoy the animals. Its fun to start a morning by hopping out of bed and peeking out to see who is roaming around outside. Or any down time in the hotel I'd spend sitting on the balcony. While there is the extra cost we've found it worth it to save up the extra to get the savannah room.

I am willing to gamble.. if you aren't willing to take the chance- I do think it is worth the money!

They are great.. last two visits there they had the parking lot view rooms closed... If anyone is going to book there ask for rooms on the second floor and up for a better view.. I'm pretty sure that the lobby is actually on the second floor...
