If I were to go are there parks that are better than others to do alone? Are there single rider lines? Are there any attractions that would be fun to do alone?

When I got lonely was back in the hotel room at night... being alone in a hotel room is not much fun. Of course you would be with your husband during the evenings so you wouldn't have that problem.

There are single-rider lines at Epcot for Test Track and Mission Space. It is a big advantage at Test Track. At Mission Space it is pretty worthless... in fact at times the single rider wait ends up being longer than the regular wait!

    Have fun!

I've enjoyed spending quality alone time at both WDW and Uni for several days, without a traveling companion to boot. What's terrific about doing the parks alone is the ability to not be distracted by conversation with someone else. I've discovered thematic elements and tucked away areas in the parks that I never noticed before, being by myself. I loved it! I could walk at a comfortable pace (my partner is taller than me and walks much faster), take in the sights, people watch, and just enjoy the setting. In many ways, I almost prefer going to IoA and DAK as a solo, especially DAK. It's a great park to just walk around in and soak up the atmosphere.

I would highly recommend going to both Uni and WDW alone while your hubby attends the conference. You'll have a great time!

I say go and enjoy. It is a different and wonderful experience to do it by yourself.

I've done Disneyland alone though, and had a great time - as others have said, it's nice to be able to do your own thing and not worry about keeping other people happy. You should definitely go! :)

However, if I were going alone, I would spend the lion's share of my time at EPCOT hands down.

I really like being able to plan out a day and then scrap the plan at a moment's notice when something better comes along. If you like live music, plan on taking in some of the shows around the parks, like the Dapper Dans on Main Street, or Off Kilter or the Voices of Liberty in Epcot's World Showcase. Don't be shy about eating fine sit-down meals by yourself. Other diners are busy with their own things and won't even notice you, and the wait staff deal with single diners all the time and don't make a big deal about it.

I can get a lot done, and don't mind breaking off the park storming if I get too tuckered out and need to head back to my room. I'm less than 3 weeks from my next WDW visit, and I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!!!

Just go to allears.com and find the things you like. I agree that EPCOT is great it just lends itself to solo touring.

I always eat somewhere really nice like Dan said. The CM's are usually more attentive in my experience & chat you up.

HP is very good as well. Have a wonderful time & don't forget it will be June...just staying @ the hotel laying by the pool wouldn't be a bad way to spend a day!

The solution we came up with is that I often take off earlier on my own so I may have a spare hour or more to myself. It's nice to ride what I want (as many times as I want), peek into stores, take lots of photos of the things I see, or just soak in the sounds and scenery.
