Once to the podium of Tuskar House, we had abot a five minute wait until our names were called and they took, what was probably the worst photo in the history of photos of us..oh well.. We were seated in the fartherest part of the restaurant way in the back corner of one of the rooms and promptly attended to by the way-too-cheerful-for-this-early-in-morning-waiter!! But, he was really very good and had the gift of always being there for refills and questions but you really never noticed him hovering about. We'd decided on this meal so we could see Daisy Duck. I'd been told by a CM that this is the only meal that Daisy is a part of. She is so cute, but must have had to go to the bathroom as she was in and around that room and out of it so fast we hardly knew she was there! The food was good and there were a few items that you don't usually see on other breakfast buffets. All in all, it was fun to go and a good beginning to the first of our "sticky meals" and I'm glad we experienced it. I'd like to go there for lunch or dinner sometime. As I was watching a toddler from another table putting messy little hands all over Mickey, it made me wonder what they use to clean those costumes and how many times Mickey or Minnie try to leave only to find a child still attached (via little hands full of syrup and butter) to one of their legs! As we were coming out of the restaurant, we witnessed the masses arriving ( the park had opened for everyone now) and the sea of people all had the same idea as we did...get to the safari Fass Pass machine!! We'd missed getting on the ride last year and wanted to make sure we didn't miss it this year. We started along and found that we were practically carried along by the flow of people but made it without any damages to the FP machine..well, most of us did..after DD, DGD and myself had gotten ours, I turned to DH to see if he needed help getting his card into the machine..only to discover he was nowhere to be found!! Ok, here we go...and of course, there were allot of folks behind us who wanted to get their Fastpasses, so we stepped aside in hopes that whatever shiny object had caught his attention would let him go soon and he'd get there in enough time to get on the ride sometime today!! We had about a 25 minute wait for our turn at this point. There was an empty bench across from the safari ride entrance, so I went and sat down to wait and watch for DH, while DD and DGD went to check out a gift shop nearby. In a few minutes, here comes DH strolling along..he'd found someone who had a golf hat on from some course that he'd always wanted to play and they had struck up a conversation and of course, gotten delayed. He went over and checked the FP wait time and it was now up to about 1:00 so he just said in that sad sorry for himself voice,"That's ok, I'll maybe ride it next time" He decided to go in search of seeing some gorillas ( don't ask) and left. In a few minutes, DD and DGD returned to wait the last 10 minutes before we were able to get in line for the ride. Just as they arrived back at the bench, a family walked by and they all had Dream FastPasses on. I mentioned ( with envy) to my daughter that they had been "Dream Squaded" and as I said that I happened to look to my right and here comes DH with a big grin on his face holding something in his hand. I couldn't tell what it was that he had, but there were, what appeared to be some type of strings or something hanging down. As he got closer, I just about jumped off the bench and DD and I ( at almost the exact moment)said together,"What does he have? He's got DREAM FASSPASSES!!!" Yep, he'd come out of an area after not seeing the gorillas and the Dream Squad was standing there and noticed his Anniversay button, wished him a "Happy Anniversay" and asked him where his "better half" ( smart folks, those Dream Squad people) was. He told them that I was just up the path waiting to go on the safari ride. They asked how many were in his party and he told them and they handed him four Dream Fast Passes and told him to have a good time!! He was so proud of himself!! You'd think he'd won the lottery ( and belive me, we kept hearing about this the rest of the trip!). So, to make a long story just a little less long, he did get to ride the safari ride with us after all, and we loved it. I especially loved seeing the baby giraffe for a split second before it was chased off by one of the other animals. Our driver/guide was funny and played his part very well. Next,we headed off to Expedition Everest. I had resolved to ride this one, even though I'm not great on coasters, but I'd read so much about the theming and how cool this ride was that I was going to take the chance, after all, I'd already been on an airplane to get here, so how scary could this be? I was all ready to go until we got close enough to see it, and out of the one side came the car with all of the screaming people in it! I hadn't remembered reading about that drop to the outside. Oh, well, I'll just park myself right over there on that bench and stay with DGD..so off go DD and DH to ride it. They came back with different opinions..both thought it was "awesome"..but the color (or should I say "lack of color") on DH's face told me that this was going to be his first and ONLY time on EE!!! Next, we headed to the Kali River Rapids. DD decided to sit outside one of the food areas with DGD while DH and I went for the ride. We used our Dream FP tabs for this one and felt very special. As we heading into the ride, all of the wet people who were coming out were in various states of "wetness" and it was getting hot so I thought a little "sprinkle" would feel good!! We were the last to get loaded into our ride and sat down in a big, wet puddle..oh well, it's a water ride. Two of the other folks on our ride were putting on rain jackets (I don't understand why you'd go on a water ride and wear a rain jacket)as we started off. The first big drop we had sloshed enough water on us that I thought we'd go under ( well, it felt like it to me) and I got, soaked right down to my skin. My husband was laughing so hard that I almost pushed him right out into the water ( what wasn't already soaking me that is). I'm far too old to be part of a wet T-shirt contest, but it was too late by that time!! After we got off and were squishing our way back to find DD and DGD, I could see that about the most water that DH took on was right in his seat area..and he had light tan pants..so that made me feel better..people would be laughing at him too! When DGD saw how wet we were, she practically went airborn wanting to go on that ride so badly. DH being a good sport, went back with her and used the other two DFP tabs to ride it. They were gone for what seemed like a very long time, and finally showed up with her looking very sad and like she'd fallen face first in a mud puddle. She'd conned "Papa" into buying her an ice cream bar when they were done with the ride and had taken a few bites of it, but it must not have been frozen too hard as it started to fall off the stick, and she tried to catch it with her mouth. It still fell, but left enough of the chocolate on her face to tell a story. It was hard not to laugh at her since she looked like such a little urchin with all of that chocolate on her face!! We continued on, walking and checking out many of the animals that we'd missed the previous visit and ended up in Camp Minnie/Mickey to do the character trail. We just wandered and looked and waited..and as is our luck, almost every line we waited in was moving until we'd get one or two families away, and whatever character it was, would have to leave and we'd have to wait 10 or so minutes for them to return..which was ok except it seemed to take up allot of our time, but DGD loves the characters..and so I stood in line with her for most of them. I'd wanted to see "A Bug's Life" and the "Nemo" stage show, but by now DGD was getting tired so we started, without realizing we were doing it, making our way to the exit of the park. We took our time however, and did stop to enjoy seeing as many of the the animal displays as we could and discovering some of those wonderful spots that we'd missed before. It was fun to take the time to soak it all in. I do believe it's the best themed park of the four and I kept seeing so many little details in evey crevice and corner of the place. We headed out in the mid afternoon ( DGH had wanted to ride the flying dinosaur spinny thing, but the line was long, and she was getting tired) so we skipped it this time and headed back to the hotel. We had ADR's at Chef Mickey's for the evening and wanted to get a rest for her and some swim time in before we headed back for dinner after 7:00. And, I was still "squishy" from the Kali ride and needed to change my clothes! After some rest, a swim and lots of drying off, we made it to Chef Mickey's for our 7:20 dinner ADR and got seated at a table with two special placemats for DH and myself because of our anniversay. They also brought us two special cupcakes later on. Dinner was nice and I think everyone that worked in the place walked over and wished us "Happy Anniversay" that evening. It was very nice. After dinner, we made our way around the gift shops and up to an observation area to look out for a few minutes before getting back on the "Momma Rail" ( as DGD calls it) around to the MK, then on to our bus back to the FQ. By now, we full, tired, happy and ready for the next morning in the MK and breakfast at Cindy's. ( I still however, felt "squishy" from the Kali ride) Tomorrow was going to be a busy one too as we also had ticket to MNSSHP in the evening..so off to bed we went with visions of a castle in our head.... Tomorrow...Princesses, Snow White and the seven dwarfs..and rain, rain, rain..
