How would anyone not on the Disney payroll know they are supposed to applaud after Ms. Hamburger is mentioned in the speech?

This way his decisions can be met with rubber-stamps and he will never have to worry about dissension in the ranks. It's a smart tactical move considering his job is in jeopardy and it is only a matter of time before he leaves to spend more time with his family. This way he extends his tenure to the absolute limit. But Bob Iger is a smart man and it's only a matter of time before Parks and Resorts gets the housecleaning Feature Animation and the Studios have.
