Actually, I've always enjoyed Mel Gibson's films. But it's a shame he seems to be, um, kinda crazy.

As far as his DUI, so what. That is a badge of honor for most libs. All of us could have or have had a DUI at one point in our lives.

I agree with William Shakespeare's belief that actors should speak no more than what is written down for them. Just because one is famous, does not give them a bully pulpit to try to impose their beliefs upon others. Gibosn may be a fringe Catholic, not adhering to the Vatican II forgiveness of the Jews for an imagined crime. He may be homophobic. I don't care, I don't want to know about that. I want to see him on the screen, creating a character, though I truly believe his craft has declined since The Patriot, if not before.

And his movies aren't good either!"

Mel isnt a political heavyweight by any stretch, but simply because religious people have become big fans of his, due to The Passion, his DUI is celebrated on the mountain tops.

You guys are realy sick sometimes. Dont you ever stop and think, and realy worry about yourselves.

Anyone who thinks Mel Gibson is not anti-semitic needs to reeevaluate based on his actions and his words. Furthermore, get a person who speaks Aramaic to translate The Passion and you'll see that it's about as anti-semitic as it gets.

Hopefully that's a goal most people will not try to achieve.

If a celebrity - be it Nick Nolte or some liberal, or Gibson - gets nabbed on a DUI, it becomes news in our celebrity-obsessed culture. Frankly, I think it should be page 62 stuff, instead of page 1, but there we are.

Moreover, I don't see anyone here "rejoicing" that he was nabbed for DUI. I do say that if - and it's still an if as far as I'm concerned until it's verified - he said the things he's reported to have said then yeah, that's anti-Semitic.

Why do people who think they are conservative call anyone who disagrees with them "liberal" automatically and without much thought behind it?

"You guys are realy sick sometimes. "

What's really sick is his behavior and what he had to say.
