I was 'almost' able to connect, got to the final page, then they closed the site for "maint.." reasons. I called the Castaway Club number and just reserved a Cat 6 w/ Veranda room on the May 28th cruise for $3946.16. They took a $500 deposit (which was due by May 10th) and the balance by June of next year. The regular number 800-951-3532 has been busy or 'out of service' all morning, the Castaway Club number, which is 800-449-3380 is easier to get to and I don't think (not totally sure) you have to be a member to reserve at that number. You WILL be on hold for about 15-20min right now, they're extremely busy. However, seeing how I was able to call once and reserve a Cat 6 room mid-ship (best rooms) with no problem, then call back again and change it from Port to a Starboard room mid-ship with no problems, it seems they do have a good selection available. If you're thinking about it, just do it! You can always cancel before your final payment is due. This cruise IS going to book up. As well, try for as early as possible. July and August is HOT in southern Mexico (av. temp is around 102, my mother in-law lives there). As well and just as a reminder, don't book during the weeks around July 17th for the 50th B-day party at Disneyland and the NFFC Convention. Take care! Dan Bejma Carlsbad, CA

You may want to look at the various Disney fan sites (this one included) for all the info you seek. My cruise is for 2 Adults in a Catagory 6 (deck 6) w/ Veranda. That's the lowest catagory possible with a full veranda, which I feel is essential on any cruise. You can take this same cruise for as low as $799 per person for an inside stateroom (no windows). Children are less I'm sure. Generally speaking, the Disney Cruise is VERY magical compared to any other. Just having that Disney quality and showmanship onboard makes all the difference. The shows, the pools, the spa, the child care areas, the clubs, the incredible dining experiences, the quality of the rooms, the shopping... all done Disney style. Disney Cruises ARE more expensive than most, but in my opinion, worth it. I don't care for the 'cheesy' shows and the pretentious smiles on most cruises. I suppose Disney does the same thing, but it just feels right with them doing it. If you want to do the same West Coast cruise (same ports o' call) for less, this market out here is flooded with cruises that cost less, but you don't get the Disney magic (literally) and quality with it. In my second posting I forgot to answer a question to me; yes, there are Disney characters on board the ships, but not at the meals. They'll show up for the deck parties, like the departure party for example, and the stage shows. Take care! Dan Bejma Carlsbad, CA
