I mean, do we get mad when we watch recess cause the episodes are short? No. So if we would stop looking at these films as FEATURE releases than im sure we can enjoy them more. Even disney doesnt count them in their animated feature listings....

The episodes that make up the film represent are among of the series' best in both story and animation, but as a "full-length movie", as Disney describes it, it leaves something to be desired. I think Disney's advetizing is a little off on this one. For people who don't know any better, the comercials make it sound as if this is actually a sequel. Personally, I would probebly be just as happy if Disney just released this as just a collection of episodes and didn't try to tie them together with some loose storyline. However, I still enjoyed it for what it is, and am glad that I bought it.

I liked the new movie. I dont like it better than a theatrical release but the story is very cute and was done very well for a direct to video. I still like Tarzan alot better, but I still like this one.

I'm sure that Gladiator will be well remembered and is a much better product than the other one, but I'd rate it lower on the UK fan enjoyment scale. Am I wrong? No, because it's my opinion of the two. Does Gladiator have higher production values than American Gladiators? Certainly, but thats not what we're discussing, it's opinions!!!

As for "Spirit", that's a dead horse I'm not going to beat anymore.

How can Disney so easily destroy their good name to make a few extra bucks!? BTW don't even get me started on Cinderella 2. The only semi decent thing to come from Disney lately is the fairly impressive "Return to Neverland".

Of course, watching one of these cheap sequels (and Return was cheap, though better than most others) right after watching the original is almost unfair. They're always going to pale in comparison.
