But nothing with that dreadful Iago character can be considered an improvement. ORWEN: Maybe they'll revamp it again some day but I can't imagine they'd ever bring back the original show.

It has one fatal flaw. That would cost money. That's against everything TDO stands for.

Spent a bit of time relaxing in AdvL, Tiki was dead. Agreed with MousDad on what they should do...just...NO STICH!!!

But to be honest, it's kind of weird and I felt uncomfortable invading their space. I still love the old show, however, I can see that, for me at least, it would get old pretty quick.

I believe it would be near impossible to duplicate that kind of loyalty and obsessiveness with WDW's guests.

I like to think of DL's guest makeup as largely more discerning/wordly and more appreciate of the 'little things' in a Disney theme park. That's why a 1963 show can still play and not be stale there, but a 1995 one at the MK seems ancient (the fact the show sucks doesn't help!) But the California vibe, which even affects visitors, is something you hardly ever get at WDW. Sometimes at Spring Break or Christmas, but mostly not. Just a different mindset of most visitors, one where 'doing it all' is the goal. And an impossible one at that.

I know what you are saying is true but does seem odd.

It was the very first Audio Animatronics attraction. Walt worked on it. The Sherman brothers wrote songs for it. Wally Boag and Thurl Ravenscroft provide voices, among others. It's a long show at almost 20 minutes. So it has a lot of history and lore behind the entertainment. WDW's has none of that. Even when it was the original show, it was still a copy of the real deal.
