The atmosphere is fantastic and the actors are great too, especially David Tennant as Kilgrave.

    Anyone else watching this show?

JJ is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and there's evena nod to the New York City incident from the first Avengers movie. So the show takes place after the first Avengers movie and so there needs to be the Stark/Avengers Tower on top of the Met Life building, but it's not there. It's just a tiny detail, but Marvel always tries so hard to get the connections right in the movies, I would expect to them to do the same in the TV shows.

On the other hand, it's so nice that there aren't too much nods to the movies. The show can easily stand on its own.

It's different than the usual stuff!" only to watch the same movie I saw a few months ago, just with different costumes. I'm so over superhero/Marvel stuff.

But this one really is different. It's dark and moody and far more noir than superhero. Jessica's a great protagonist and the end of that first episode was shocking.

My only complaint is I think it's 2-3 episodes too long. There's a couple of times it feels less like a serial TV show and more like an old "conflict of the week" series, where the hero and villain clash only to escape each other to meet next week. But that's a minor complaint, it's a great series.

Really? I can't wait to see Captain America: Civil War. Ant-Man was great too. It's true that origins movies follow the same formular, but I'm still a big Marvel movies fan. I was before Disney took over and I'm still a fan.

We've seen the first nine episodes now and it gets better and better, but I agree that there were one or two episodes that weren't really necessary.

Have you seen the other Marvel Netflix series Daredevil? It also gets good reviews.

Episode 10 isn't one of them. It's *insane* and so so good. I can't remember which eps I thought were superfluous. Perhaps it's less specific episodes than just an overall feeling it was going on a bit long.

Yes, that's the best way to discribe it. There isn't a single episode that is really bad, but there are just some lenghts.
