IMO, it's not a must-do. Food-wise, it's like eating at TGIF, Applebee's, Chili's, etc. Good, but nothing special.

The worst part was listening to the kids gripe and moan about the video games costing $5.00 each. I don't plan on going back there, but I'm glad I went once, just to say I was there.

Anybody have anything about Ralph Brennan's to share?

Last time we planned on going to the ESPN Zone there was a big game going on. It was crowded, loud, long wait to be seated, some guy was hauled off by the police for throwing glasses (as in the drinking kind) all over the Men's restroom and shattering them and right before we got there the police also removed a very drunk person from the premises... who then vomited all over the floor and glass doors on his way out. All that kind of ruined any desire of eating there again. LOL! We opted for Rain Forest instead.

I recommend going there inbetween lunch and dinner when it is less crowded just to get away for awhile. If you can't or don't want to return to your hotel this is a nice alternative.

I have been many times and it is a must-do for us!
We love the atmosphere and the food! We sometimes go twice in the five days we are there because we enjoy it so much.
I would say that the service is average. It is not a high-end restaurant. It can be very busy and we try not to go when it is very busy because I always expect the service will suffer almost everywhere under those conditions.
I would not say that the service was any better at the Blue Bayou, or the Storyteller's Cafe than The Rainforest.
Just my humble opinion based on about 8 or 8 experiences over about 5 years.

We just played upstairs while they waited (this is something we budget for, BTW) The food has been good in general. We've had a few misses but I actually thought that the prices weren't too bad in comparison to a few other places in DTD. Since my kids are 10, 13 and 15, this is their first choice in restaurants.

I think that's what made our experience this last time so miserable -- we COULDN'T play upstairs. They had the whole upstairs rented out for a Sweet 16 party, so not only did we have tired, cranky kids on our hands, but it made the wait EXTRA long. Everyone was crammed in the lobby trying to stay out of each other's way. It was absolutely miserable. And again, the service was horrific.

We'd been there once before on a Saturday and had a perfectly pleasant experience, however. So, I think it's just hit or miss.

    EXCEPT

It can be VERY loud! I went to dinner with a friend who I was eager to catch up with, and conversation was nearly impossible. We were seated next to the band stand, but you couldn't hear without shouting anywhere in the rooms that were open that evening.

    YMMV

We also got out of there in under $40 even though we each had two drinks, so that was nice.
