I'll post once I've had a chance to read Kingdom Keepers. I'm thinking no matter what its a cute premise and its about Magic Kingdom so really how bad could it be? :)

Oh and I think the copy my husband ordered for me from Barnes and Noble's website was only like 4.50 or so. Not a bad deal for a hardcover book.

FWIW, the publisher lists it as being for ages 12 & up. There are some scenes which might scare younger or more sensitive kids (including one involving the dolls in the Small World ride coming to life and attacking kids, which actually creeped me out).

The ending sort of implies that it's the start of a series, but a release date and title for a second book haven't yet been officially announced.

I'm still getting used to the idea of Ridley Pearson as a children's author. Before these books, he had a long career as an author of good, gritty mystery novels. He also wrote "The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer," which was a prequel to Stephen King's "Rose Red."

I mean, the point is Malificent has come to life and these kids have to go on this hunt through the park on various quests to stop her. When it ends, it ends so anti-climatically. Good book, but no real ending.

I definitely would agree with posts 13 and 14, the end after all the build up was somewhat anti-climatic. For me I wasn't sure if it really was or if it was just the only time I really felt like an adult reading a young adult's book.

Overall I'd recommend the book to any WDW fan. Its a very imaginative story and goes through much of the Magic Kingdom with a few mentions of other parts of WDW with great detail.

I never thought I'd read a fiction book where the characters meet up at Cosmic Ray's for example. :)

Saying too much more would give the story away but if anyone was ever wavering about picking up a copy just because its a young adult's book - I'd say go for it, its a fun read.

Almost enough info for it to be considered spoilers - it didn't bother me, I was just glad to see there's for sure going to be another book. Anyway for fans of his I'd recommened checking it out if you never have before, this should link to his website where he links to blogger for the blogs:
