How dated will the classic A-frame Tower look now? How silly does it look to have what appears to be a random, charmless, cold looking condo tower from "any city" USA plopped down in WDW. Thanks WDW!

In my mind, DVC is DVC no matter if it's secluded like OKW, or near DTD like SS, or an add on like W Lodge. But we'll see. I'm in favor of it.

Originally Posted By Superjosiah "I also predict that it will sale at a faster rate than any other DVC before." I agree... it is the most visible one yet! I think it will also increase DVC sales because it will be a visual reminder about it.

Originally Posted By RoadTrip <<I think it will be significantly more costly and also an upgrade in quality over other DVCs to date.>> That could be. If nothing else the location justifies a premium price (though the Boardwalk also has an outstanding location). As far as quality goes, they would have to go a ways to beat Saratoga Springs. I know SS has somehow acquired a rather poor reputation. Perhaps it is because of the location which people perceive as being far from the parks. Perhaps it is because the main dining facility was not open when the resort opened and many early visitors felt the dining options were poor. But when we viewed the resort last January before adding some SS points to the Boardwalk points we already owned, I was very impressed with the place. The facilities were wonderful and the finishing and furnishings of the units were a definite step above what I've seen at any other DVC resort.

I wish the PhotoShopped web image that's in the Post#1 link would include a rendering of what the new building would look like from the hub. That's where you can see the Contemporary now, peeking up over Tomorrowland. How the new building would look from the hub, alongside the Contemporary would be instructive. And not all that bad, I'm thinking.
