I think there is always a way back to the parking structure.

But I don't have a definite answer to your question.

Does anyone else know? Additionally, does the parking structures stay open until Downtown Disney closes?

Officially, the trams are scheduled to run until one hour after Disneyland closes, but then again, from other experiences, I've had transportation to the parking structure via other methods of Disney transportation, including the van.

And in a totally different note, we were drinking one night at Ohana with friends late into the evening, and the Poly staff members kindly insisted to drive both parties back to our respective hotels being as the other methods of transportation there were closed.

I guess what I am saying is that Disney usually doesn't have a specific rule for after-hours needs, but they tend to pull through anyway.

    Does that help?

I was told that when DtD closes (after the last movie is over and the restaurants are closed) Security checks everyplace and gives the O.K. that the area is "clear" and Transportation stops running the trams. But you can always walk to the parking structure.

You can always drive out of the the Mickey & Friends parking structure.
The exits from the parking structure do not close.
