Originally Posted By Lisann22 Orthostatic intolerance is a confusing topic. Some of the confusion originates from recent appreciation of the condition's clinical variants, some from the emerging understanding of its diverse underlying pathophysiologies, and some from its nomenclature, which seems to change at least every year. http://www.emedicine.com/ped/t opic2860.htm The term orthostasis literally means standing upright. Orthostatic intolerance may be defined as "the development of symptoms during upright standing relieved by recumbency." While use of a term such as orthostatic intolerance logically implies the presence of illness or abnormalities when upright, typically, blood flow and blood pressure (BP) regulation also are abnormal while supine or sitting, but these abnormalities may not be as apparent and may require orthostatic stress to become evident. Standing successfully requires interplay of physical, neurologic, humoral, and vascular factors. Under ordinary conditions, acute humoral alterations have little to do with the initial response to standing upright but may play an important role during chronic orthostatic intolerance or relatively late during upright standing. An example in which such interactions often prove inadequate is pure autonomic failure; patients with this condition not only cannot stand easily, but they also clearly have autonomic abnormalcy in all physical positions. Orthostatic intolerance, therefore, encompasses disorders of blood flow, heart rate, and BP regulation that are most easily demonstrable during orthostatic stress, yet are present in all positions. While orthostatic intolerance may be the most salient finding, this intolerance is only the most obvious manifestation of a more widespread impairment in integrative neurovascular physiology.

This is our major news story of the day and I think you failed to grasp how important the Wiggles have been for Australia's children and children all across the world. It's not like he's quitting to go sit on a beach somewhere and spend his millions, he is ill and we failed to see the humor in that. Anyway it's cool no worries!

Anyway, there are no hard feelings here.

I'm including their backup singers/dancers, Captain Feathersword, etc. However a 2 year old sees a bunch of people having fun and singing and dancing. DH even attended a Wiggles concert with our grandson last year and we were hoping to take our grandson again. I hope they continue but for anyone who has watched them it's obvious that Greg is the lead singer. As a Disney fan, if any of you think the song "It's a Small World" can get stuck in your head, NEVER watch the Wiggles sing "Big Red Car" Not saying I love them, we were lucky enough to miss the whole Barney thing, but their show or video is the 1/2 hour that our DD knows she can put him in one place (and he won't move) so she can take a shower, get dinner ready etc.
