Hope everyone is enjoying this sneak peek of a sneak peek. I have some better photos now, and will see if there is a place to put them for everyone to see. Incidently, the attraction was opened both Tuesday and Wednesday around noon, and stayed open until closing. I cannot say if that pattern will hold. There have also been delays, both short and lengthy, as various "bugs" are ironed out. But that's the nature of soft openings!

The Monsters Inc. show elements and all the monsters are newly created. So far two figures from SSL have been identified as members of the CDA group. As people begin comparing the two attractions, more may be identified. (The two redressed former celebrities are Drew Carrey and Jackie Chan. Drew, formerly selling Star Maps, now shows guests pictures of Boo, and "action star Jackie Chan" now poses on top of the CDA van.) I hasten to add that if one had never seen SSL, one would be unaware that this was a redressed attraction. It is very well put together on its own merits.

The truth is that the ride got so many complaints that it was better to close it than to leave it running. And ultimately, I just can't imagine an organization like Disney not doing something so simple as computer backups.
