P.S.: If you think you're offended now-- have you ever sampled Radio Disney?

I wasn't aware that there is R-rated shows on ABC Family. What show(s) would that be?

Frankly, I rarely watch any Disney channels; I prefer Discovery, History, Travel, etc. Disney can push whatever programming they want; I will just watch something else.

Just doesn't matter what label's on a package, a parent still has to open it & do toxicology tests before sharing the product with the kids.

The majority of American households have two or more TV sets, and each member of the household watches the networks and shows that cater to their individual tastes. The idea of "family" TV viewing is a thing of the past, and no one programs a network on that concept anymore.

Under its new president, Paul Lee, ABC Family is seeking to redefine the "family" concept, featuring programs that specifically target 18-to 34-year-olds but, staying true to the network's name, still revolve around an expanded "family" theme.

For instance, the new dramas "Wildfire" and "Beautiful People" turn up the heat with mature situations and dialogue, but still prominently feature family units. And because of programming like that, ABC Family is now very much on the ratings rebound.

It's a grown-up version of Disney Channel's success formula -- Disney Channel targets the kid-centered family, ABC Family targets the adult-centered family.

Anyway, if you want to let ABC Family know your feelings, the best thing to do is to write them a letter at:

    ABC Family
    3800 West Alameda Ave.
    Burbank, CA 91505

Shows ABOUT families? Sounds like the same train of thought that gave us off-the-shelf carnival rides that are "themed" as a California amusement park.

Guess if you get enough MBAs into a conference room, you can rationalize anything.

There's always their harmless original movies, like "See Jane Date" and "Celeste in the City." :]

Why call it ABC Family if they are not really family shows except for the early morning cartoons?

would you rather the subject matter on cartoons like Family Guy / American Dad -- or let's stay with SBC - how about an episode of Desparate housewives - can;t get too much more sleazy than that

they live on in TV Land on dish/cable - and get much watching time from me -- the crap on TV today is disgusting - forget the fact there are no morals or ethics - the writing is lousy !
