I can't imagine that there will not be something coming. So, we have held off making reservations for our trip in February to see what the new year brings.

Soarin had a 20 min wait at 4pm and Splash Mountain had 20 mins posted for standby but we waited about 10 mins. When we walked out onto World Showcase someone in our party commented how empty the promenade looked. It was a great day for doing things. Of course Food and Wine starts soon and that tends to bring out the local crowds on weekends.

President's Week is always traditionally pretty crowded, but I was wondering how much the economy affected that. I do know that Southwest flights from NO to Orlando during Mardi Gras usually sell out pretty quickly once they are released, but they've been out there for almost three weeks and all of the flights are still available. Delta even dropped the price of their flights from $905 to an "affordable" $750. While I want the economy to improve, I'm certainly not going to complain if we can get a good deal on our trip in a few months.

I really think they are going to hold back for early on in the year. Especially since Florida will be hosting the Super Bowl, and the Pro Bowl that year.
