Getting to WB via public transportation, even if possible, would require at least a couple of transfers and could possibly take QUITE a long time. Also, it's not like Universal in which you can arrive any time. They have a set schedule for tours, you have to reserve in advance I think, and if you miss your time - tough luck! I think you'll pretty much have to rent a car if you want to do it. Although you could call their reservation line directly to ask about public transporation options, if any.
Originally Posted By seanyoda If they still have a shuttle between the Disneyland Hotel and Universal Studios, I'd take that, and then catch a cab to the Warner Bros studio tour building at 3400 Riverside Drive. For public transit options, you can take Metrolink from either Anaheim or Fullerton (Fullerton is easily reachable by the northbound #43 Harbor Blvd bus) to Downtown Burbank. When you get to Burbank, catch the Burbank Bus Metrolink-Media District shuttle and get off the bus at the Warner-Avon stop and walk to the tour building at 3400 Riverside Drive. For fares and schedules: http://www.metrolinktrains.com / http://www.burbankbus.org/ Another option is to take the Metrolink to Downtown LA's Union Station and then catch the Red Line to Universal Studios and then either cab it or take the MTA #96 bus Northbound and get off the bus at the Riverside-Hollywood Way stop. You could also take the Red Line to North Hollywood and catch the Burbank Bus noho-Media District shuttle and get off the bus at the Riverside-Hollywood Way stop.
