Nothing works in this film, the acting is bad, the sets are bad, the songs are bad. Kevin Corcoran is wasted as the near mute Boy Blue. Tommy Kirk is equally squandered as the assistant Grumio. Annette is stiff and nervous, and really never did sing well...sorry Annette. The rest of the cast just slogs through this whole mess...what were they thinking?

And there are some real stinkers...

'The Ugly Dachshund' Dean Jones and Suzanne Pleshette

'That Darn Cat' with Hayley Mills and Dean Jones

'The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes' with Kurt Russell

'Herbie Rides Again' 'Herbie Goes Bananas' 'Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo'

Some of them are so bad, they're almost unwatchable.

I bought it for a $1.00 on clearance at Media Play. They should have burned it to help clear the stench!!! Too bad, some good talent (Helen Hayes, Peter Ustinov) that is totally, totally wasted...

    Another stinker I thought of..

    Unidentified Flying Oddball

Oh, I *love* this film...part of it because of nostalgia since I saw it as a kid and found it so intense. I rented it last year for the 1st time since childhood, and fell in love with it all over again.
