<p>Disney&rsquo;s The Lion King&nbsp;set a new box office record at Broadway&rsquo;s Minskoff Theatre by grossing $1,993,370 &ndash; the show&rsquo;s highest grossing week to date - during the sold-out eight-performance New Year&rsquo;s holiday week of December 27, 2010 - January 2, 2011.</p>
<p>The previous Minskoff record was held by THE LION KING, with a gross of $1,870,145 (set Thanksgiving holiday week ending 11/28/2010).</p>
