I want to go on the RNRC, but I wanted to check it out first on a video site - that's what I did for Expedition Everest, and it calmed my "chicken-ness". Anyway, so I look at the video, and it timed out at just over a minute! Is this right? The ride is really that short?

If you got video footage that shows about one minute I would believe it. That ride is a 'quickie'.

That doesn't sound right at all---
economy passenger cars accelerate faster than that.

It must be noticeably quicker out of the starting gate.

My car does 0 to 60 in about 5 seconds and RnRoller feels even more of a rush.

I consider the queue to be part of the ride as well. It's really well done.

2.3 sounds too fast. I suppose it's possible but I think less likely as that is seriously hauling down the track. Keep in mind Ferraris and Lambourghinis do 0 to 60 in around 4 seconds.

My best guess would be right around the high 3's.

Does anyone know the stats for its rival Hulk up the road? Hulk's take off feels shorter in its distance and duration but just as thrilling and powerful.

If I remember correctly Hulk isn't a LIM so it doesn't have the same acceleration. Hulk is an unusual coaster as it is a tire-propulsion system (I think it is a B&M coaster).

The funny thing is based on my (at times faulty) memory now that you bring up the 2.8 second number for RnRoller I could have sworn that Universal said their Hulk does that up the tube to reach 45 mph's. Oh well.

IOA's other main coaster D. Dragons is a B&M also.

The ride launch actually feels faster than what it is, mainly due to the darkness and tight constraints of the launch tunnel. The flashing strobe light (which is used for the on-ride photos, I believe) actually accentuates the experience. Once the coaster is launched, it has already hit it's top speed of near 60 mph. Most of the rest of the ride, it hits speeds in the 30-40 mph range, varying, of course, with the layout. There are three upside-down inversions, one of which you experience immediately after the launch. Overall, it is a 'wild' ride, but not nearly as wild as the Incredible Hulk at IOA or the other B&M steel coasters at Sea World or Busch Gardens. It is a little more intense than Everest, but not nearly as much as most other major steel coasters found at other parks. It is also definitely much shorter in duration and length than Everest, or even Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. If you think you can handle a little wilder ride than Everest, then I think you will enjoy Rock n' Roller Coaster. And keep your eyes open to experience the visuals! They're fun to watch and part of the experience!!!

I haven't been on an upside down ride in...um...never mind. Let's just say that for a chicken, I'm well past spring. But I really loved Expedition Everest, and kept yelling "That all you got?" on Space Mountain, so I think I can do this.

We asked all of the people around if they had lost their fast passes and no one claimed them, so I assumed that this was the roller-coaster gods way of telling me that I needed to ride it, so I did, and it was totally awesome! It goes so fast that you honestly don't even know you are upside down, and it's super smooth too! No bumps or jerks or anything, and before you know it it's over! It was super fun and I am very glad that I sucked it up and rode it!

Eight years ago I was visiting Six Flags over Texas and rode their Batman roller-coaster and seriously injured my back to the point of having to cut our trip short and head home because I could barely walk! I still have issues with my lower back because of it which is part of the reason I was so afraid to ride Rockin Roller-coaster (Batman had an inversion as well). I thought the Disney coaster's seating was incredibly comfy and was not jerked around one bit; weird that you experienced something different.
