They work very well. I am in the process of getting two of these wherifones for my two older kids. It's basically a cell phone with a global GPS device embedded inside and you can get a real time location on your child accurate to withing a few feet quite literally. I keep the wristwatch device on my kids when they go on fieldtrips and that sort of thing, I can simply log onto the website and get a REAL time exact location on my child, WITH a map overlay. It is incredible.

And not only that... those in the queue areas receiving or making calls and yapping up a storm causing distractions or disturbances need to grow some manners.
