He has named his business after the one in DL.

If it is there, I will get apicture of it for him to hang in his store!

    Please say it's still there!

I go to WDW every year, though, so I still get my Disney fix.

According to stuff I'm finding, the seating area of Coke Corner is known as Corner Cafe. Everything is out of date, though, because they all refer to Rod Miller playing piano, and he has retired.

It's cool, too, that he has named his career after a place in DL where he used to eat growing up!

    Hopefully it's still there!

I know that it was still like that last fall, and I doubt that it would have been changed since then without us knowing about it.

It was a very small but very nice place to eat. Both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor area had the feeling of being outside at night I believe. I seem to remember little lights in the ceiling twinkling like stars. It was a very nice place, but alas now closed and turned into yet another merchandise location. I guess D'Land just didn't have enough shops!

I have one for the experts, does anyone recall the timwe when the outdoor patio in front of the Plaza Inn was a separate restaurant from PI? I believe the main fare was steak. And the eaterie's hostess costume featured a large parasol to protect her from the sun.

You are 100% correct. That was our favorite place to have breakfast in rotation with the Carnation Cafe.

Go half way down the page of and you'll see the follow blurb:

    ----------------------------------------
Town Square Cafe (Extinct). When Disneyland opened in 1955, this was the Maxwell House Coffee House, and by 1958 it had become the Hills Brothers Coffee House. That was destined to change, and by 1978 it was replaced with the American Egg House. In 1983, and until its closure in 1993, the restaurant, which was full service and specialized in breakfast, was known as the Town Square Cafe.

    Location

The Town Square Cafe was located near the current home of the Disney Showcase, roughly in the neighborhood of Mr. Lincoln's Opera House.
