Wings Over Washington

    I came across this video about the new Wings over Washington ride at Pier 57 (Miners Landing) in downtown Seattle, Washington. The new ride is a Soaring over California-type ride but with the state of Washington as it's theme. It is highly themed with AA figures, a ranger station setting and holograms. It really puts Disney to shame.

    Looks like a nice ride.

    Question: Why would anyone want to go on a ride showing scenes of Washington when they're actually in the state of Washington and could see the actual locations for for themselves?

    Better yet there is a lot of footage of Seattle where the ride is based. It's very meta.
