I can do the teacups just fine because the ride is so short.

So, how long is Mission Space? If it's longer than say 4, maybe 5, minutes, do you think with the above description I can handle the full version or should I go on the milder one?

I was given 2 tips before riding.

    1) Find a fixed point during the launch i.e. a cloud and focus on it.
    2) Stay looking at the screen throughout the ride.

Both of those helped I assume as I had no problem at all.

The unofficial guide goes to great lengths about what you should eat before and when, but I went before breakfast (against their advice) and was fine.

To put this into context I've never wimped out of a coaster yet, but I do occasionally feel a bit sick after the Teacups!!!

I've had the opportunity to do some pretty intense flight training on real aircraft and the mission space sensations reminded me a bit of that. Again, realistic but not necessarily fun.

Who am I kidding? Even if you say I'm not missing anything but the sensation trekkeruss describes, I'd probably still go on the full version just to be sure.

    I'd still appreciate suggestions though.

May I also suggest visiting the Shuttle Launch Experience at Kennedy Space Center? They have a very realistic, yet tamer, shuttle launch attraction that is quite enjoyable.

I usually ride the Orange, but will occasionally ride the Green if I've recently eaten or for some reason feel not quite up to the real thing.

I want to try both versions out, I just don't want to be sick all day long.

I rarely have trouble with motion sickness. Coasters, drop rides, spinners, I can do them all (except for teacups... that darned ride should be made illegal!!).

But I was concerned the first time I rode Mission Space so I waited until just before we were ready to leave the park and then rode. That way if I got sick (which I didn't) my entire day would not have been ruined.

That is hard to say. We usually go to WDW during a slow time of the year (January), so Mission Space rarely has more than a 20 minute line at any time of the day. Usually if you are in line by Epcot’s 9:00 PM closing time they will keep the attraction going until everyone has gone on it.

Things may have changed, but Test Track and Soarin' are the attractions with incredible wait times. MS is usually not too bad.
