Disney have come straight out to green light Thor 2 despite only marginly outperforming Tron Legacy (though if you factor in CPI on ticket prices it likely did around the same number). IMO the biggest mistake with Tron Legacy was that it didnt appeal enough to kids (I took my son who was 9 at the time to see it. He loved it, but personally he had no interest in going to see it and only saw it because I was an old Tron fan) with the animated series I am fairly sure that it will create a whole new market which will make a third Tron more than viable.
