I had a steak with Garlic Potatoes, Fried Onions, and a Guinness. The band was fantastic, and Danielle the Irish dancer was sublime: very talented lass. 3/6/07: Lunch: Le Cellier (Epcot) - A very nice treat. Who knew Canadians served up food other than bacon? Breadsticks were fantastic and MUCH NEEDED. The cheddar cheese soup was heavenly - everything it was made out to be. A BBQ Prime Rib sandwich alongside a Moosehead Beer made me anxious to head up north to try the real thing! Epcot overall: I tried the beer-around-the-world tour, and I was quite surprised by the Moroccan beer! The wine tastings were very nice. I wanted a sausage from Germany, but we were running out of time... I hope they were good! Dinner: Hoop-Dee-Doo (Ft. Wilderness) Chicken and Ribs as far as the eye could see. The chicken was fantastic, but the ribs didn't taste as good as the ones back home - maybe the BBQ sandwich ruined me? The cornbread was a wonderful treat - I hadn't had cornbread since I was a kid. And you know I love unlimited beer and wine. (So did one other table - some kids were playing a drinking game with the words "HOOP-DEE-DOO!") 3/7/07: Lunch: Chicken Fingers from a cart (Animal Kingdom) Haven't you people heard of Ranch Dressing??? Dinner: Port Orleans Food Court We were so tired from the first two days, that we decided to stay in and watch Lost on the TV. (It was a good one.) Anyways, we stopped by the Port Orleans Food Court. I had a double cheeseburger - the first and only on the trip. It was delicious - but there weren't any vegetables to go on it! Did I miss them? Or are they skimping? 3/8/07: Lunch: The Ballpark (Wide World of Sports) Dad and I had a pulled pork BBQ sandwich from the ballpark at the Braves' game on Thursday. It was our first. Oh, what we have been missing! We were going to start with that and then have a hot dog in the 5th or 6th (per tradition - hot dog + ball game), but we decided to have another sandwich instead! Two sandwiches and two beers later, we were quite satisfied!!! Dinner: Liberty Tree Inn (Magic Kingdom) Service was a little slower than I care for - but I understand that it was a character dinner, and they probably want to allow time to interact with the characters. I think I like the character buffets better. Dinner was alright, but a little to much like "Thanksgiving." I usually only like to eat turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes around the end of November. The strip steak was pretty good - and the Mac 'n' Cheese was a winner. 3/9/07: Lunch: '50s Prime-Time Cafe (Studios) The biggest disappointment of the trip. It was great watching my parents react to the different shows that would come up on the b&w TVs, but the food was not very good. My fiance had a dry chicken sandwich. Out of fear of being yelled at, she hid it in her metal milkshake cup. (Sorry to anyone who found that - but it WAS the highlight of the meal.) Mom and I had a fish sandwich that just didn't taste right... I guess we are just fish snobs, being from the Pacific Northwest. Dinner: The Brown Derby (Studios) Very nice. The best Martini I've had in a long time - as well as some of the best duck. It came with some very nice garlic grits, and was a beautiful ending to the hectic day. I really enjoyed the Cobb, as well. 3/10/07 Lunch: Earl of Sandwich (Downtown Disney) I had heard so many good things about this place, that I had to come in and ruin my dinner. Man oh man, that sandwich was great! I had an Italian sandwich - I couldn't decide!!! There were so many great options! When will an Earl of Sandwich come here? WHEN?!?! Dinner: Fulton Crab House (Downtown Disney) I had the Dungeness Crab, which was fantastic. We usually only have this once a year in my family, but we decided not to make it this year - due to cost, or disinterest - or something... anyways, served with red potatoes and a lemon-butter dipping sauce. And what a perfect place to view the sunset of the last day of our trip. Here's to many more trips out the the east coast, and many more dinners with Disney.

I love that I can get "real reviews" from "real people" about the dining options so I really appreciate your posts. I also appreciate that there are other people that think the food you eat at while vacatioining at the Disney parks is part of the experience. I have spoken to many people who have come back from Disneyland complaining that all they ate for days was hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets and pizza. The selection is not like at Disney World but with a little planning, some Priority Reservations, the hotels of the resort and Downtown Disney, you can eat something other than "fast food" and breakfast at IHOP or Dennys.

I think I just made a bad choice of entree - my root beer float was very good (made by grandma). Again, we'll possibly return for two weeks in October '08 - April '09! So hopefully we'll have plenty of time to try all the food!

Do you just do it on your own, I mean, stop at every country for a beer or is it a special tour you sign up for? Great reviews! I would try 50's Prime time again and get the pot roast and milk shakes.
