I don't know if I'd feel safe riding that ship. It says rather than fixing it they will just replace it. I wonder if they actually will? Maybe instead of two(unnecessary)paddle steamers they should just have ONE and a proper pirate ship?

It definitely is an eyesore and one the really bad examples of how much DLP let some things deteriorate with regard to maintenance. It has been announced recently quite publicly that they are going to rebuild it. I am quite optimistic that they will rebuild it, but the question will be: how long will it take them to finally start the project?

Europa Park beats them out. Big report and photos to come in May

I continue to see exceptional standards of upkeep kept everytime I visit a California, Hong Kong or a Tokyo Disney Park. Although I'm looking forward to your thoughts on Europa Park.

Like Dave and others have said, the place appears to finally be getting some seriously needed TLC.

I think 2012 will be a very good year to visit DLP - I just hope they come up with some better entertainment than the current hub show... And of course it would have been much better if there had been new attractions for the 20th birthday as well.

Originally Posted By davewasbaloo Hi CDF1, I would say the 1995 was absolutely the best time at DLP (even though we have the Studios with some fantastic attractions now). DLP is full of lots of expansion pads (a couple in Discoveryland, a few in Fantasyland, a huge one in adventureland (originally planned for an Indy type jeep attraction, and a couple in Frontierland). I have seen plans for Splash in the Frontierland train station before. The space you refer to on the Rivers of the Far West is no longer a space, it is a large stage that has hosted the excellent Tarzan Stage Show and Wickey's Winter Wonderland - including Mickey and Minnie ice skating.
