I have seen the following movies in cinemas: NEW YEAR'S EVE - 5/10 - It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. MISSION IMPOSSIBLE IV: Ghost Protocol - 8/10 - I didn't expect the movie to be that good. In my opinion it is the best of all M:I movies. Simon Pegg was wonderful and although I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise, he did a good job. Hopefully Brad Bird will direct a fifth one. HORRIBLE BOSSES - 7/10 - I really enjoyed that movie and it was a lot of fun. CARS 2 - 3/10 - That movie was one of the biggest disappointments in 2011. I like the first one a lot, but that movie was just made for Disney's merchandise division. Pixar's worst movie so far and I hope Brave will be a real Pixar movie again. HARRY POTTER VII - Part 2 - 7/10 - Although I'm currently reading the books, I'm not a fan of Harry Potter. Maybe that changes afterwards. However I've seen all movies and so it was clear I had to watch the last one as well. It was a good movie and a lot better the the HP VII Part 1, which was the worst of all. X-MEN: First Class - 8/10 - That movie was one of my favorites in 2011. I don't like super heroe movies that much, but I have seen all other X-Men movies and I enjoyed all of them and so I wanted to see First Class as well and I wasn't disappointed. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: On Stranger Tides - 7/10 - After POTC 2 & 3 I was sceptical about a new movie, but I was surprised how good On Stranger Tides was. Definitely not as good as The Curse of the Black Pearl, but better than Dead Man's Chest and At World's End. I wouldn't mind a fifth one, as long as Barbossa and Mr. Gibbs are part of the films. THE KING'S SPEECH - 10/10 - That was the best movie I've seen in 2011. Colin Firth was great and so was the movie. TRON LEGACY - 8/10 - Many didn't like the movie, but I really enjoyed it. The 3D was great and the soundtrack fantastic. I hope Disney will do another one. BLACK SWAN - 6/10 - It was a very interesting movie, but not one of my favorites last year.

Very boring, the only redeeming quality was the scenery. Rango - 4. I know everyone else LOVED it, but I was bored. Plus, I took a 4 year old with me and spent the film trying to make him sit in his seat. The Fast and the Furious 4 - 5 I was expecting to hate it, and it turned out to be OK so better than I was expecting. Cars 2 - 5. Easily the weakest Pixar movie to date. I was incredibly bored. The Lion King 3D re-release - 10. The best night I have had at the movies in a long time. It looked fantastic and we sang along with it. Loved it. Unknown - 5. I really like Liam Neeson but this was very disapointing. Footloose - 6. I know I should have hated it, but it was fun! The Cup ( Australian Movie) 6. It was ok but Jason Oliver's death scene was appalling.. poor form. Real Steel - 8. I was dragged along to this by the other half, but I really like it. Ok, I just really like Hugh Jackman. Horrible Bosses - 7. I really enjoyed myself at this. Much better than I'd expected. Crazy Stupid Love - 8. We didn't expect mush from this movie but were both very impressed by it!

The only non-animated movie I saw this year was Hugo. WONDERFUL. Don't miss. 9/10 Come to think of it, I did go to a test screening of the upcoming Mirror Mirror, but it clearly wasn't finished, and it's not my kind of movie anyway, so I'll refrain from reviewing it at this juncture.

KFP2 was as delightful to look at as the original, and for me was extra fun because I was accompanied by my great nice and nephew, who sat there transfixed by it. Really fun experience. And the Harry Potter saga wrapped up practically perfect in every way. The filmmakers captured the excitement and drama of the final book and nicely ended the series.

Thor - 9 fab and fun Capt America - 10 awesome Rio - 5 ok, but forgettable Paul - 10 I loved this, sooooo funny The Smurfs - 6 not bad, fun stuff Yogi Bear - 5 not a bad attempt Horrid Henry - 1 truly horrid ,I do not know what my kids see in it, they love it Tangled - 4 - boring and commercial ,pretty to look at Season of the Witch - 7 fun, but forgettable Shows how I am a dad, the only one at the cinema was Thor, and most were the kids' choices Queued up to watch on blu ray thanks to Santa: Green lantern Last harry potter X men first class Kings Speech To be honest, between the stupid prices and the noise ,we prefer the wait and get the ones we are really interested in on ble ray, and wait for them to be on satellite movie channels for the ones of passing interest. If it were not for the super heroes or Paul, I would say this was a poor year (though I am looking forward to ending HP and seeing the Kings Speech).

Pixar's last movies were fantastic, especially Wall-E, Up and Toy Story 3. All three and Ratatouille are my favorite Pixar movies. It seems we have a slightly different taste when it comes to Pixar . I also liked Tangled and I think it was the best Disney movie since Treasure Planet. Bolt is Disney's second best CGI movie. >>>I am looking forward to ending HP and seeing the Kings Speech<<< I think you will like that movie. One of the best movies last year.

Originally Posted By dagobert It would be pretty boring if everyone would have the same taste. I agree that the first two Toy Story movies are also very good and I don't like Nemo that much either. The Incredibles is okay, but definitely not my favorite movie, but I admit that I like it better than a few years ago. It gets better when you see it more often. I can't decide if I like Ratatouille or Toy Story 3 better.

Crazy, Stupid, Love - 8/10 I thought this movie was great. The Dilemma – 6/10 DH LOVES Kevin James and this movie was okay. Glee 3D – 8/10 Saw this with friends and surprisingly loved it. Gnomeo and Juliet – 7/10 Really cute. I saw it twice. Green Lantern – 5/10 I really just saw this for Ryan Reynolds and he lived up to my expectations. Harry Potter 7:2 – 8/10 I expected even more, and wanted them to stick to the book more. The Help – 8/10 I enjoyed this a lot. I don’t know how, but I think it could have been better at evoking an emotional response. Horrible Bosses – no rating, hated it so much that we turned it off. Just Go With It – 7/10 Average romantic comedy. I like the stars. Larry Crowne – 6/10 Love Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts but this was really dull. Pirates: On Stranger Tides – 8/10 Good movie. Same level of effects and plot and acting I expected. Smurfs – 7/10 Forced to go by a Smurfs-fan. Not so bad. Something Borrowed – 6/10 Some good dialogue but below average RomCom for me. Twilight 4:1 – 7/10 So sue me, I liked it. I like the morphing wolves. War Horse – 9/10 My mom forced me: I almost left the theater sobbing for one scene. An excellent film with great acting. Water for Elephants – 8/10 Excellent movie. I didn’t know it was about a veterinarian. What’s Your Number? – 7/10 Again about average. I thought it was funny. X-Men: First Class – 8/10 I really like X-Men movies and I liked the young Xavier Zookeeper – 6/10 Not as horrible as I expected. Tangled – 7/10 I saw this in 2010. It was nice, but I wasn’t blown away. King’s Speech – 10/10 I also saw this first in 2010, but I saw it three more times in 2011. Wonderful! (As others have said, 2011 kinda sucked. I just realized I only gave two 2011 releases 9s and no 10s.) To see on DVD: Muppets, Hugo, New Year’s Eve, latest Sherlock Holmes, latest 3 Musketeers, latest Transformers, and now Captain America

Cars is not my favorite by any stretch but I didn't expect the sequel to suck so bad. Harry Potter 9/10. I can see why they did what they did in the movie that was different than the book but that doesn't mean I am happy with those changes. Puss in Boots 8/10. I knew it wasn't going to be a cinematic classic so I was very pleased that I enjoyed it as much as I did. Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn part 1 3/10. My sister had to shush me in the theater because I was so angry at some things in the movie that were different (for no good reason!) from the book. Plus, can't they spend more than $5.00 on the CGI wolf budget??? Hugo 8/10. A beautiful to watch movie that made me laugh and cry. The Muppets 9/10. I loved it! 7 movies? Either I need to get out more or movies just ain't what they used to be.

Hilarious movie, great music, Welcome Back Muppets! The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo- 7.5/10 Man, that movie was just FILLED with bad men, isn't it? Loved the film overall though (But what was up with that opening credits scene!) Never read the books, but looking forward to the second movie! Tower Heist- 8/10 It was very predictable, but was still great. Funny as well! Moneyball- 9/10 Great movie! Deserves all the Oscar buzz its getting. Funny, tense, and just all around wonderful (P.S. give Jonah Hill an Oscar nod!) Dolphin Tale- 8/10 Close to my heart since I live just down the street from the aquarium. Gotta love Harry Connick Jr! Cute family film! No Strings Attached- 6/10 Rom-Com, kind of forgettable, but not bad War Horse- 6/10 Not the best, not the worst. Not as epic as the ads make it out to be. Very slow at certain parts. Would have rather had the sequence with the girl and her grandfather been the entire thing Midnight in Paris- 7/10 Not bad, funny in small quantities. Great concept! Friends with Benefits- 7/10 Preferred this to No Strings. The movie was same concept, but SO much better. Hugo- 7.5/10 First 30 minutes was boring, but 2nd act of movie was wonderful. True Grit- 10/10 Never seen a Western to this degree and I loved it...I take back Helena winning...the Oscar should have gone to Hailee Steinfeld, she was incredible!
