Originally Posted By dresswhites call ty pennington! donalds boat need some tlc. i went to disneyland with my 7 year old nephew so we spent some time in toontown. he loved roger, liked mickey's house and thought minnie's house was not as fun as mickey's. the biggest disappointment for him and i, was donalds boat. there is nothing to do on the boat. you climb up and get a nice view, that is it. you can't see anything out of the periscope, and practically the only interactive thing in the boat's steering wheel. i know they took out the sound effects for the snow white show run, but i thought they had added them back. the two ropes don't do anthing. it just needs some more interactive type activities. both tarzan's treehouse and Tom Sawyer Island have fun little interactive type activies, so we know disney can put handle it, so why are all the attractions in toontown so devoid of any interactive type things? i know the slides were considered dangerous, but comeon, at least a few more props that work in these attractions. and for the slides being dangerous, i can't believe they were that dangerous. also why aren't children allowed to climb the climbing net or go up the spiral staircase? who deemed a spiral staircase a danger? you climb up a spiral staircase to get into the subs, to walk around tarzan's treehouse, and some of the caves on pirates lair. also on pirates lair there is little ladder to get down into davy jones ship. the challenge trail at dca has all that climbing rope type activities. why can they exist in other parts of the parks, but not in toontown? my other complain about toontown, is goofy's playground. i don't think the playground is a horrible thing, but doesn't it defeat the purpose if is generally closed when its hot? So on a given day during the summer children may to get to expereince this attraction for about 3 hours(because the land opens late and closes early) what a horrible mistake. it could be that hard to put up a shade structure over the equipment.

Last time I was hanging out in Toontown some punk kids just kept pulling on it and not letting go. It went on like this for TEN MINUTES until a cast member finally came over the loudspeaker and told them to KNOCK IT OFF! Yeesh.
