PETIONVILLE, Haiti – A school building with students inside has collapsed outside Haiti's capital.

Hundreds of bystanders are digging through the rubble of the building in Petionville, a suburb of the capital. An Associated Press reporter saw people carrying bloodied students from the site. The second story of the concrete building had collapsed onto the first on Friday for unknown reasons.

United Nations peacekeepers and members of the Haitian Red Cross have arrived on the scene. No casualty figures were immediately available.
