Laura Richardson (D), whose territory covers a portion of the L.A. South Bay, walked away from a home she purchased in Sacramento and just left it there after getting elected to Congress. Richardson, an opportunistic female dog who not too long ago was a part-time Long Beach council person, bought the home in early 2007 after she was elected to the state assembly. She quickly abandoned that seat when the Congressional one opened up. It was in foreclosure by year's end. The link above contains another link within that's worth reading. Richardson's ex-husband is the Long Beach Chief of Police, Tony Batts. By all accounts, Batt sisn't as unethical as the hag he divorced. That she would do this is no surprise to those that know her here in Long Beach. Here's hoping the story has legs and there are consequences for this piece of dirt.

I mean, besides a newly elected member of Congress who can pay back her campaign but not her lender? I won't even mention all the crap she pulled here in Long Beach to get to the Assembly, only to break many promises by leaving that position to run for Congress. What do we call an elected official who was not in financial straits, yet still walked away from a mortgage, only to deny it ever happened in the face of public records that say otherwise? The only thing she really represents is everything that's wrong with politicians.
