He doesn't have the guts to stand in front of the people that his policies would directly hurt. Instead he apparently mumbles some lame answer and then walks away as fast as he can from someone who's challenging him. Candidates like Mitt pander in front of large conservative crowds over gay marriage and medical marijuana. It hurts real people. These conversations don't take place in a vacuum.

Even the lead proponents who pushed the legalization of medical marijuana in California are ashamed about how the whole system has been mismanaged and turned into a chaotic mess catering more to recreational users than legitimate medical patients. Based on how things have gone in California, I wouldn't support medical marijuana anywhere else until they fix the problems with the system there.

I sure wish that my father had been able to get it. While it likely wouldn't have prolonged his life, it would have improved the quality of it. Cancer made it impossible for him to eat most of the time, and the anxiety was terrible. Medical marijuana likely would have eased his anxiety greatly, while at the same time helping with his nausea and appetite.

We asked the doctors we were dealing with about it, and each of them said "Let's try soemthing else..." and changed the subject or prescribed something else.

I know of no doctor who would prescribe it nor of anyone who says they can get it easily.

I would say that if marijuana wasn't easily obtainable, there wouldn't be 5 marijuana shops within a half-mile of my house and on nearly every block of the surrounding area.

In short he had to face someone that would be harmed by his pandering and he didn't like it. If Mitt wants to be against medical weed that's his choice, but have the guts to look someone in the eye and tell them why you don't support them using it.
