I don't know why this struck me as interesting, but it really did. On the first video, obviously an aid was shouting for assistance for his boss, demanding an "UMBRELLA!" (damn it!) And then on the second, it's fairly apparent (to me, anyway) that it was simply a voice in the crowd with no significance whatsoever. What really struck me though, was the whole manipulation factor we see these days. Someone, somewhere, thought accentuating just one WORD (OR, perhaps downplaying it elsewhere?), was important. And I have to admit, since I viewed the first video first, I found it rather inspirational and impressive that this would-be senator had an aid at his side angrily demanding an umbrella for this most important man. So, mission accomplished? Anyway, it's not about this video, or even about Mr. X's apparent obsession with umbrellas. ;p What it IS about, though, is that if they're willing to bother with something as inconsequential as THIS, what ELSE are they all tweaking and twisting and worrying about all for our consumption and approval. Anyone else find this somewhat revealing (and creepy)? Probably just me.
