Require a Voter ID Card -good idea 5. Repeal the Death Tax, for Good -it's a tax on money that was already taxed, so this is good, but they really need to balance the budget before cutting taxes 6. Restore Property Rights -no opinion 7. Achieve Sustainable Energy Independence -a long-term issue, have Republicans actually proposed a plan? 8. Control Spending and Balance the Budget -this is the killer. Does anyone at this point trust Republicans (the most fiscally irresponsible government I've ever witnessed) to do this? 9. Tie Education Funding to Teacher Accountability -Teachers should be held accountable to a degree, but what would withholding funding do? Would this just harm the students further? 10. Defend America From the Irreconcilable Wing of Islam -okay, but what's the plan? How much of a threat are we talking about? 11. Focus on Iran and North Korea -okay, but hard to do when the focus is on Iraq and shows no signs of changing

In the end, it is fairly safe to assume that voters will have only a vague memory of what was promised. And then the next election cycle will bring another list of hollow promises.
