"CULLOWHEE – A dead bear was found dumped this morning on the Western Carolina University campus, draped with a pair of Obama campaign signs, university police said.

Maintenance workers reported about 7:45 a.m. finding a 75-pound bear cub dumped at the roundabout near the Catamount statute at the entrance to campus, said Tom Johnson, chief of university police."

To avoid just quoting the whole piece, the bear cub had been shot in the head.

I really hope the crazies crawl back in their holes after November 4th, but I doubt it.

I have some, ahem, familiarity with that school. It's waaaaaay back in the NC mountains, with the nearest civilization being Asheville, 50 miles away. Finding things to do can sometimes be a challenge. The locals don't have much truck with the campus, so I'm gonna go out on a (very sturdy) limb and say this was a fraternity prank.

No matter which side they are on, wackos are wackos, and should have no influence on the general election.

You just keep telling yourself things like that, if it makes you feel more comfortable with your vote.
