Just for fun, I drove by my early voting location on Friday night (the last night of early voting), and I'd estimate that there was a 2-hour line. Tuesday should be very interesting.

Luckily, polls open at 6 AM here, so that's what I'll do. It's kind of like DL - everyone knows that getting there early is the best way, but still a lot of people have trouble getting up early enough to do it.

So far, no rain forecast for Tues. - hope it stays that way.

I showed up at 9 AM and waited just over 2 hours. My wife has given her employees large breaks to go vote. While it is no secret that we are both party line GOP'ers, (my gosh Bush and now McCain...it's getting more and more difficult to stay GOP) anyway, we have been completely objective about this in the workplace. Many questions have come up in the workplace, but we simply avoid them or tell the employees to watch the news and read the papers without suggesting WHICH channel to watch or which paper to read. While this post may be offensive to many here, (and then again maybe it's not), in spite of being GOP'ers we truly truly believe in the process ofthe election and voting and feel that it is unfair to attempt to influence coworkers in any way whatsoever. So, in that same spirit, please, everyone go and vote! We have sacrificed too much as a country, be those sacrifices right or wrong, to ignore the fact that voting is a priviledge that few in this world ever experience.

Your state is going to give its electoral votes to Obama, so why even vote? Just save yourself the trouble and stay home
