Double the maximum and we account for inflation AND take care of the problem. <<How are they going to create more jobs and ut more people in their own homes?>> Limit the deductibility of executive salaries to a maximum of 2 million per year. Give a tax credit for any job created with a salary of less than 100,000. Democrats have answers. Conservatives just aren't listening.

I asked a simple question and you have to go ask moonbats like Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan for directions. What a bunch of losers. Face it, you are all so pathetic why not just put Saddam on the dem ticket for '08? <<<end>>> Woah! What was that?!

If you increase the salary cap, you take in more money now, but pay out a lot more later on, making the insolvency problem worse. <Democrats have answers. The British were the last ones who might have been able to do that in 1812, and possibly the Union or the Confederacy in the Civil War depending on your point of view. The terrorist can wound us, but it is impossible for them to deal a fatal blow. The only way the terrorists can destroy the United States is if we change our way of life in response to their attacks so drastically that we are no longer a nation of law and a nation of liberty. To me, the greatest threat to everything we hold dear is ourselves, not Osama bin Laden or Iraq.

Originally Posted By DouglasDubh <Then cap benefits as well. Means test it, if you have to.> Benefits are capped. What you seem to be saying is we should charge some people more for Social Security than others. So far, Democrats have rejected that arguement.

Maybe by sending in a force of 200,000 to Afghanistan initially instead of a small strike force, then diverting the rest to Iraq. And what about those members of Al Qaeda who are in Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, etc? Conservatives have had it in for Iraq from the get go, and they just cannot explain effectively why it is so much more important than any other dictator or any other country that houses members of Al Qaeda. The need to defend anything and everything the administration does is getting sad.
