Well anyway, it's already Tuesday in Japan actually but everyone knows there are no Christians here so naturally nobody appears to be missing. So which LPers are gone now? Anyone we'll miss?

I don't have anxiety about it when I go to get in it, nor do I have to understand how it works to enjoy it. Now, that's not a reason to believe in something you don't - but the very heart of the matter is that I don't think it's harder to believe in the reality of something you can't see than it is to rely on or have confidence in something you don't fully understand.

Physical Evidence and Rational Logic You don't have to understand things fully, of course not. But that's a far sight from "believing" in something for which there is no evidence and no logical basis.

Otherwise everyone would be driven to understand everything in the fullest degree before he or she could have any peace about it. Some of us do this, and its crippling. But humanity hasn't come to the place where every detail about life can be explained or understood. Nonetheless, we have faith that someday we will. There really isn't any reason to believe that we will succeed, but we still go on anyway. Is that irrational?

Why, I once firmly believed that a giant (talking??) rabbit brought chocolate in baskets to my house, and all houses, once a year and in just one night, all around the world. You don't "call" that sort of thing irrational, it IS irrational by definition. ***There really isn't any reason to believe that we will succeed, but we still go on anyway. Is that irrational?*** Why would learning new things be irrational? One need not learn *everything* in order to gain a better understanding of *something*.
