Please say no to Gays joining bands. Playing in a band should be defined as being for a straight person only. <<Rolls Eyes>> (I'm being sarcastic if you don't hint any)

Oh, please! The Episcopelians chose a gay man to be bishop of New Hampshire. The United Church of Christ voted as a denomination to endorse same sex marriage. There are pro-gay clergy in almost every mainstream denomination. It is so frustrating that people equate the religious with the religious right. And, ok, X, I'll bite. In "considering the utter contempt and bigotry they consistently demonstrate." does the "they" refer to the clergy or the gays and lesbians?

While I don't agree with the choice, all I have to do is think about the past 8 years and I am willing to let this go. I don't particularly like Rick Warren but he has a lot of good things to say and has helped a lot of people. I think he appeals to a lot of people who aren't necessarily as religious, also. It's not like he's going to give an anti-gay speech while on the platform. I say let him do his invocation. This is one of those instances where the more people complain about this, the more people are going to be turned off towards the cause.
