I'm going to say that you're on some sort of kick where you're determined to write one dumb thing after another, trying to see just how many dumb comments you can make in a row.

States obviously cannot solve what wahoo correctly points out is a national problem. One land, one law, not one land and 50 ways of skirting the issue. Moreover, there are too many states with flakes running them, Texas and Arizona coming to mind, who would probably go the opposite way and make it mandatory for everyone to carry an assault rifle.

No, no way states can solve this. Not a chance in hell.

Agreed. There is no way Donny is the obtuse imbecile he pretends to be.

Unfortunately I disagree. See I know people who think the way Donny does. They watch too much Fox News and get emails from too many far-right websites and they are convinced certain things are true; like that states can create and enforce gun laws and that would solve the gun murder epidemic in our country.

So you believe he's not a teabagger?

That most of his information doesn't come from Fox News?

And his hypocritical behavior on the boards is merely a calculating troll with the main goal of simply pissing us off?

Sorry, but I don't think he's that smart. There have been too many times when the tables got turned on him and he backtracked like a 5-year-old who got caught with cookies in his mouth after snitching on his brother for raiding the cookie jar.

Yes, he engages in troll behavior, like with this thread.

But I don't think he's so smart that he's quietly voting for Democrats while conning everyone into believing that he's a conservative Republican.

Most of the teabaggers who aren't millionaires are idiots. Donny is such an individual.

Or instead of backtracking he just leaves the thread and starts a new one --- like this one.

And thus, Newtown and several other school shootings would have been prevented. Each of those shooters were law-abiding citizens until just prior to the shootings, and thus by the reality you agree with, would not have had guns had guns been completely banned. Note: I'm not promoting that guns should be completely banned - I'm just pointing out the flaw in the bumper-sticker slogan posted by another.

That is where the creative thinking needs to be applied. Do I have a solution, no I do not, but I will readily admit that there are many people out there that are much smarter then I am. I think a workable compromise can be reached.

Just focus on the real problem. Certain definable types of mental illness are controllable if we let ourselves control it. I want all people to have equal rights under the law and that includes victims of those types of crimes. That is why a sensible solution is necessary. When people are in a state of inability to control their emotions there has to be a way established for us to take charge and not wait for dozens of people to get killed before we do anything that we can see coming.
