Notification of cancellation must be received at least 5 days prior to your arrival date. Any changes or cancellation will result in fees from $25 to the full cost of your stay. The cancellation and refund policy is subject to change."

Is it just me, or is the wording here confusing? Are they saying that ANY change or cancellation is subject to a charge? Even if it is more than 6 days before arrival? Or did they mean to say the charges apply if you cancel after the 5 days prior?

Disney reservations are always the most confusing!

When you book your package they will send you this information. Which is sometimes to late. The assume when you book that you know what ther rules are so they can inforce them.
When I found a better deal then them through Expedia which is still $100.00 per night with a 4 night stay at Paradise Pier they tried to charge me a Cancelation fee. Long story short and a few supervisors later I only got charged a change fee because I was still staying in the same hotel. Just make sure you are really ready to book, so you wont get these fee's :)

There is a chance the dates I was going to book would have to change, so now I will definitely wait.

At least I'm pretty sure that's what the deal is. This is why I often end up booking through the hotel directly. The rates have been comparable for us as often we have had a senior with us and the senior rate seems to end up being better than a package rate. If it's just me and my husband, we often can't totally guarantee that our dates won't change, so the change fee is an issue. I do miss the fancy package I get in the mail when booking through the WDTC though. : )
