Yet I find myself of two minds on this one. It's pretty funny, and it certainly does make a point. Sometimes on third and long you just gotta go with what works, be blunt and let the cards fall where they may. Perhaps using a childish method isn't the best way but he certainly did get a point across here, or maybe this is just a rejection of niceties altogether. As far as the vulgarity is concerned, I do think it's just more of the whole "oh no, you can't go there" vibe we see so often. I wrote quite a bit on another topic about politically correct language, and how politicians have so often had to backtrack and apologize and it makes them seem weak and ineffective. The fact that politicians and lawmakers are squabbling like this is pretty disheartening though. Don't they so often complain about not having enough time to get things accomplished? Maybe it's a little over the top, granted, but with all the problems we DO have it seems like some lawmakers are spending all their time simply trying to block any and all progress. I don't expect the politicians who are really making an effort to remain congenial and non-confrontational forever. Just to be clear, that only makes sense if they're getting *something* in return for their efforts, otherwise they just look like chumps.
