I wish that pro prop 8 people would see that their lives are no different in the past few months that this has been legal but it's pretty clear that their fear is the only thing they can see.

This is an untenable situation where citizens have civil rights restored or revoked as they travel through different states. But you're right - there's an inevitability to all of this. States cannot pass laws that violate the US constitution. And opponents of same sex marriage are never going to get the DOM passed. And the conservatives will scream bloody murder about "activist judges" when it happens. They don't understand - it's not the judges, it's the constitution. Get over it.
