Some of the best political skits on SNL were written by Franken and Davis. I especially enjoyed his lone season sitcom, Lateline, which he helped create and write. Watching Dick Gephardt and Robert Reich singing "Shipoopi" from The Music Man is hilarious!

I doubt if anything he said changed her mind. Still, he was levelheaded and managed to keep the group from turning into the kind of angry mob we've seen over the past month.
