It's not in NJ, and when stuck in traffic in NJ not long ago I realized I COULD call my friend to tell him I was stuck in traffic. Of course, right then the traffic opened up and I could start moving at highway speed, but was still talking on the phone. An impatient moron (you weren't the only one just stuck for 20 minutes, pal!) cut me off and I was lucky to be able to maneuver out of trouble with one hand. If there had been another car to my right at that moment, I wouldn't have been so lucky. You really should have two hands to drive, and it's easy to get these hands-free devices (though with most of my driving in NY I haven't yet).
